About Mark
Dr Mark Levick is a former CEO, executive coach, specialist physician and educator with more than 25 years of international leadership experience across the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, universities and government. His wider professional practice, including pharmaceutical consulting and end-of-life coaching, is available at drmarklevick.com.
My coaching is grounded in a simple belief: leadership is not about having all the answers, but about making thoughtful decisions in uncertain circumstances. Drawing on coaching psychology and existential philosophy, I help leaders face uncertainty, gain clarity, make intentional choices and move forward with purpose. Rather than offering advice or ready-made solutions, I create space for deeper reflection, honest challenge and meaningful change.
The coaching relationship is both supportive and challenging: a confidential environment where you can step back from the demands of leadership, explore difficult questions, deepen your self-awareness and discover new ways of responding to the challenges you face. My aim is not to change who you are, but to help you become more intentional in how you lead.
I qualified in medicine at the University of Newcastle, Australia, before completing specialist training in Australia and the UK. I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (FFPM) and of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).
I hold a Diploma in Coaching and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where I teach coaching psychology and advanced practice at master’s level. Alongside my coaching practice, I am a partner at Thaxton Philip Consulting, advising executive teams, companies and investors on pharmaceutical research and development, scientific due diligence, portfolio decision-making and regulatory strategy.
